This facility is currently closed.
However, the community centre Board is working with the City of Winnipeg along with the recommendations from the Provincial Public Health officials to slowly re-open some aspects of the community centre. Stay tuned for further information. (Updated July 24, 2020)
Update as of April 22
Winnipeg Youth Soccer Association has advised that all soccer activities will be suspended for the month of May. A final determination on the Wildwood Park mini soccer program will be made at a later date, in conjunction with direction from WYSA and the appropriate health authorities. All registrants will receive additional information by email.
Given the Covid 19 situation it is unclear whether there will be a mini soccer season. In the event of cancellation, all registrations and cheques will be shredded and cash returned.
Mini soccer is open to all children with no prior skills needed. The focus is on fun and learning the basics of the game. As children grow and learn the program begins to get more advanced, preparing players for league play.
When: May & June 2021
Where: Wildwood Park, Fort Garry, Riverview & Lord Roberts community centres

The Jackrabbits program uses a variety of drills, relay games, activities and scrimmage hockey games to introduce children to skating and hockey. Jackrabbits is a family-oriented program geared to those looking for a low-key, recreational introduction tot he game.
For children ages 5-10 years
When:Registration deadline for the 2020/2021 season is November 21, 2020.
Program starts when the ice is ready (mid-December)
Where: Wildwood Park Community Centre Outdoor Rinks
Time: Saturdays between 12:15 and 2 pm (potentially 2 x 45 minute sessions depending on numbers)
Hockey equipment requirements: Mandatory helmet with full cage face mask, skates, hockey stick. (Elbow and shin pads, neck guards strongly recommended)
Fee: $30 per individual and $50 per family

Wildwood Community Centre’s Jackrabbit Ski program aims to develop the love of Cross Country Skiing in children, youth and their families. This is group is affiliated with the Cross Country Ski Association of Manitoba and uses the Jackrabbits and Bunnyrabbits skills development programs created by Cross Country Canada. We are geared to families who want to ski together, get started skiing and have fun. Parents, caregivers, grandparents, are all encouraged to ski and learn with their children.
